Most of the time creativity seems to come natural to me. But sometimes it’s not always as easily focused. Yep, on occasion a tad bit of A.D.D. rears its head! At times I feel extremely inspired and ideas flow freely, and other times it can be a bit more challenging. Then there are those wonderful times inspiration comes from places you don’t expect! All of the sudden a great idea or inspiration comes to mind! I LOVE it when I gather inspiration from random items I find! That’s the best!
Last week while rummaging around my make-up drawer looking for something “new” to wear, I came across this shade of eye shadow I completely forgot I had! Love this beautiful deep peacock blue color! It’s my absolute new fave!! It’s bold, but it is so beautiful and glamorous!
There are so many ways to incorporate this hot color into your home. Take a gander at a few great uses of peacock blue in some stylish interiors and furnishings! You never know, it just might inspire you too!
Want to create a sophisticated or refined space? This color works really well with muted colors and neutrals, such as gray and off white or pale yellow or gold.
This color really mixes well with bright and bold colors such as orange, fuchsia and I even think it would look great with lime green! Love the way this daring designer painted the baseboards in the same bold color!
This Hollywood glam, tufted sofa with bolster pillows and French inspired white trim is gorgeous in this brave color!
Drooling over this blue glass Venetian glass chandelier!
My idea for my home is to pair this color with black and white! I adore this black and white chevron rug from Jonathan Alder! (Who happens to be one of my favorite designers!) I am also fond of stark white trim and jet black French doors! Very cool!
I’m already scouting out spaces in my home to paint this color! And, I can’t wait to use it on an upcoming project! So, how about using a bit of peacock blue in your space! Go ahead be bold, try it out!
Stay tuned for my next post! This months installment of “Desire it…Acquire it!!”
