I make a conscious effort to discover the best interior design and shopping locations in the Dallas, Fort Worth area. When my fabulous friend Alejandra told me about a furniture and accessories outlet store her client raved about, I immediately wanted to take a look for myself. When I walked through the doors, my jaw almost hit the floor! I was shocked and pretty much went into an all out “design frenzy”! I can’t even begin to tell you how amazing this store is! I don’t live under an interior design “rock”, and I just couldn’t believe I had never heard about this unique store! From what I gathered, they are primarily an online and mail catalog store and have a small storefront located in Carrollton. This past November, they opened a 20,000 square foot outlet store located right across from Dallas Love Field. This store radiates style and creativity, but (in my opinion) one of the best parts is the gigantic area designated “scratch and dent” and includes sample merchandise located in the back of the showroom! It is FILLED with gorgeous treasures at a SERIOUS discount!
I very well could go and on about this place. And trust me, I will be featuring it in several of my “Desire it… Acquire it!!” posts to come. But if all of my raving does not impress you, then check out this stunning mirror I purchased for my guest bedroom. Drum roll please…..it was a whopping $15.00 plus tax! This dazzling mirror had originally been $200.00! The reason for the astronomical discount was a small crack located at the very bottom of the frame. However, I stuck a picture frame or two in front of it and no one will ever be able to tell! And at the shocking low price of $15 , I’m certainly okay with a little blemish!
Here are some other awesome finds from the Wisteria “scratch and dent”.
They have a huge variety of marvelous chairs, big and small. Here’s just a sampling of the few that caught my eye.
If you have followed my blog, you have deduced I love, love starburst mirrors (as many people do)! These two mirrors are priced at a steep discount! I thought about buying one but could not think of where I would put it. If you wanted to snag one, they are still there last I checked.
Check out these hand stitched, one of a kind pillows made in Congo, Africa. They had been $229.00. A few of them are currently marked down to $60.00.
I adore these small “X” benches! I think they would be super cute at the foot of a bed. I put some serious thought into purchasing two of them. But honestly, I really don’t “need” them. But at about $75.00 each, they would not break the bank!
I totally fell into lust with this stainless serpentine style chest with crystal handles. This is a very unique and high-end piece of furniture that would normally retail for well over $1,200.00. However, this particular one was around $400.00. As I was taking this picture, a girl staked her claim to it and bought it right on the spot. Oh well!
Are these wing chairs not beautiful? The purple-ish charcoal gray tone of the woven fabric is to die for! These were sold so I don’t know the price, but they certainly are stunning.
Here are a few other items taken from their website. They are also on display in the store.
Pictures do not do this huge antique style peacock mirror justice! The normal retail price is a very hefty $2,399.00! Last I checked they had one in the “scratch and dent” section, and I believe the price is about $400.00. That’s roughly 83% off the original retail price! Although, I think $400.00 is still a bit pricey, this mirror is so unique, I think it’s completely worth it! The reason it’s so discounted is two of the mirrored circle details came detached. All you would have to do is glue them back on. I know that my friend Alejandra was seriously considering purchhasing this for her new home. What a cool find!
Wisteria Outlet also sells handmade jewelery, beaded items, pieces made of coral, turquoise, etc. Basically, they carry all sorts of awesome products from around the world! If your into to cool and unique stuff, it’s definitely worth checking out!
Wisteria Outlet is located at 6500 Cedar Springs Road, Dallas; 972-919-3622.
