Pantone is the world-renowned authority on color. For more than 45 years, they’ve been inspiring design professionals with products and technology for colorful exploration and expression of creativity. Every year, Pantone announces the “color of the year”, and this year’s color is called Honeysuckle, a bright fuschia pink with a hint of coral. Ummm, love it!! I adore hot pink and I would be very happy draping our home with tons of pink and fuschia accessories! But my wonderful husband has clearly mentioned he’s not interested in our house being adorned with fuchsia pink and asked that I keep it to a minimum. Understandably, the color is pretty girly, so I have (reluctantly) agreed to his reasonable request! But I can blog about this fab color. A girl can dream!
Here’s what Pantone states about the 2011 color of the year, Honeysuckle….”A color for all seasons. Courageous. Confident. Vital. A brave new color, for a brave new world. Let the bold spirit of Honeysuckle infuse you, lift you and carry you through the year. It’s a color for every day – with nothing “everyday ” about it.”
Check out these these posh pink digs at the Schiaparelli Suite at the very fancy May Fair Hotel in London.
Named after the designer who unleashed this fuschia fabulousness, the Schiaparelli Suite is a loving tribute to retro glamour, designed and furnished with witty style. (This stylish suite is a whopping $4,665.00 per night!)
Check out some other uses of this bold color!
Love the combination of hot pink and cool turquoise blue! This living room is eclectic and very pretty.
Wow, very daring to paint your cabinets fuschia pink! I probably would not pick this for my kitchen, but I think it’s beautiful and very unique!
The Andy Warhol-esque baby prints are precious! Cool idea.
Confession: If I were single, I would totally duplicate this room! I love everything about it! Glamorous!
Do you think that your space could use a little drama? Go ahead, turn up the glamour and add a touch of fuschia to your space!
