Last week I had my old friend and great photographer Brian take a few pictures of our home. Here is a quick peek of a few shots he took that day. Now, please keep in mind he has not had a chance to adjust the color or retouch them! But, I was excited to show you all!
In my opinion, everyone’s home should reflect their personality. While the vast majority of my clients’ homes are much more traditional or transitional, my personal home reflects my bold eclectic design style, my love of art, photography and items I have collected over the years. Ever since I can remember, I’ve fancied mid-century influenced furniture and design. This design effluence fits perfectly with our home that was built in 1957.
Last month I had the chrome and crystal chandelier installed and it’s one of my favorite parts of this open space! (Stay tuned for more on my new chandelier). I have always had second thoughts about the throw pillows on the couch! But for now, I have not found any that rock my world. I will most likey have them made!
Up until recently, I had light colored silk drapes that matched the color of the walls. I naturally gravitate to lighter colors for drapes. But just recently, I had them changed out for the steel blue ones that are now hanging .
I was worried dark draperies would make the room too heavy, but I like them and will keep them for now…
I’ve posted about our guest bedroom before. I have to admit, even after a couple years, I still adore the chocolate brown color of the paint! Paint color is the most inexpence and dramatic way to make a huge impact to almost any room.

Is a room ever finished? Nope, not in my house! As you can see, my home is always in some form of transition! Thanks so much for checking out my site. Stay tuned for more!!
